Prodigy Dual Lane Dispenser

The Camalot Prodigy is designed and built to deliver high-speed, extremely accurate dispensing.  To enable 1.5g’s of acceleration, Camalot engineers resourced more than two decades of experience with linear motors and advanced motion control systems.

Dual lane conveyors enables improved optimization by allowing two identical or two different products to be processed in either lane.

The advanced Tilt and Rotate dispensing system reduces wet out areas and improves capillary flow for underfill and provides access to dispense on side walls, underneath, or around tall components. State-of-the-art rotary actuators allow articulation of the dispense pump in sub-degree increments in both axes for total flexibility.

Dynamic Dual Head™ (DDH) offers the unique ability to double dispense speed while maintaining the highest level of accuracy for both dispense pumps.

Camalot’s SmartStream non-contact dispense pump technology offers a cost-effective, accurate and easily maintained alternative to jetting-based designs.

Camalot offers two types of Auger pumps. The 635SD typically used for finer feature dots and the 680SD for lines of high viscosity material with a positive shutoff that eliminates dripping of lower viscosity materials.

Patent pending IR Temperature Sensors provide closed-loop monitoring of the PCB/substrate temperature ensures dispenser process stability and yield improvements for underfill applications.

The Camalot Dual Mode Weight Scale is a patented weighing process allows measurement of dispense patterns for maximum accuracy.

The Prodigy Dual Lane Dispenser was designed to meet the requirements of industries such as automotive and semiconductor, seeking to improve efficiency. The dispenser comes in two sizes, a compact 4-zone system that measures 830mm in width and a larger 6-zone system that measures 1270mm. These sizes allow for processing a wide range of product sizes.

With its advanced linear drive architecture and stable frame, the Prodigy offers precise and accurate dot placement, even at high speeds, resulting in improved yields. The dispenser has a +/-35µ 3 Sigma dot placement accuracy.

To ensure consistent material flow rates, the Prodigy offers both contact and non-contact heating options in different configurations, including heated lift chucks to maintain a controlled temperature.

The Prodigy is designed with flexibility in mind, offering easy upgrades through its ‘plug and play’ compatibility. Upgrades, including heat, pumps, tilt and rotate, IR sensors, weight scale, a second Z-axis, and the conveyor system, can be made in the field for added convenience.
